What a nice, mild summer we are having! The crops are looking phenomenal! We have been busying mowing road ditches and waterways, spraying fungicide and insecticide on the beans, and cleaning up equipment. We also have been scouting crops for diseases and had our corn aerial sprayed with fungicide to increase plant health and eliminated fungal diseases brought on by all of the moisture we have been getting. Yesterday we put up sweet corn. As you can see in the pictures, four generations got in on the action! Hopefully the sweet corn crop is an indication of things to come because we have way more than we need this year due to the best sweet corn crop we have ever seen. We are trying hard to give away as much as we can because we have way more than we need! Also, I couldn’t help but include a picture of Kinsley with a Jersey calf at the HOI fair. Looks like we may have to get some livestock again on the farm if she keeps it up!
